To all officials, some will get this twice, To All, Good Morning, Hope everyone has a great Labor Day. I want to address a situation that I thought had been taken care of. In our non uil games, We are trying to maintain integrity in our price structure ( everyone pays a fair and equal price) and also provide Liability and Medical insurance in the event an official is injured on the way to or home from a game or while officiating games. If a fight breaks our, If you get in an altercation with a player, coach or fan during or after a game. If litttle Johnny gets hurt during the game because you didnt call tight enough, Momma or Daddy going to sue you, waiver or not. It would pay a lawyer to defend you and any claims out of that. It was brought up to me by a member of the board, and discussed with most members of the board. It was relayed to the parties requesting officials, and they chose to continue to cut price and have you officiate without insurance. That is not good for you as an individual, or us as a chapter. I would highley recommend if you are contacted to work games, you let them know they should go through the chapter to provide you with insurance, and We will be the guys and gals that makes sure the price is maintained and fair.
