To All Officials, We have a lot of changes this fine day. Holidays bringing lots of different circumstances. I appreciate the guys and gals willing to step in and cover when we get in a jam. One thing we are having a problem with is not calling our partners until the day of the match. We HAVE TO CALL our partners a couple days in advance if possible, No later than the day before. That way we verify that we do indeed have a partner that plans on being there, If not it gives me time to find a replacement. Even if its an in town game, call your partner so they know you know about it. It doesn’t matter who is on top or bottom of the listing, everyone is responsible to make sure there is a phone call made. Also, the top person does not have to be the R1, I trust the officials at the game to work it out, take turns. I may designate an R1 in certain games, if so I will put a note in the game listing. And lastly, I have turned the Master Schedule back on where every official can see every game and who is calling in it. I would ask if you see anything that looks out of whack, Please let me know first, hopefully it is just an oversight that we can correct, then if i don’t have a good explanation or don’t rectify it, then you can tell each other what a dummy I am. If there is anything I can do to make calling basketball more fun for you let me know. I am trying to get the Coaches and fans to quit be knotheads, and I will keep fighting that battle daily. I appreciate each and every one of you and I am Thankful I have such a great group of Professionals to work with .
