Hi all,
After last night’s test taking session we went from 46 eligible officials to 71 that are now eligible. While I certainly appreciate those of you that got that done, 71 is still a really difficult number for assignors to work with. Unfortunately, there is no leniency to this. If we give anyone a game assignment that has not met the minimum test requirements then our whole chapter can be penalized by THSBOA.
So two things…
1. PASS YOUR TESTS TODAY!!! All that is urgent is that you meet the minimum requirements. You can always come back later to make a 90% or more to become playoff eligible. The most important thing right now is to meet the requirements for you to be eligbile to get a game assignment. That requirement is a 70% or above on the Rules Test and a 70% or above on EITHER of the mechanics tests (2-Person or 3-Person). Get it done!!
2. IF YOU GET A GAME ASSIGNMENT AND YOU’RE INELIGIBLE TURN BACK THE GAME! Do not work a game when you know that you have not completed or won’t be able to complete the minimum testing requirements before your game.
Number 1 is better than number 2…get it done ASAP so that you can make our Assignor’s job a little bit easier. Their job is hard enough. Even without the test issue we have a leaner roster than we are used to. If you aren’t eligible then you’re just making it that much harder on our assignors and they don’t really deserve that.
