Interested in Becoming a Basketball Official?
The Abilene Basketball Chapter is always looking for new people willing to work, learn and, most importantly, have fun officiating the game of Basketball. Officiating any sport is a great way to stay active, sharpen your mind, make new friends and earn extra income.
You can set your own schedule and earn between $40-$50/hour!
How Do I Join ABC?
What Should I Expect to Get Started?
- Register and pay State dues of $60 with Texas High School Basketball Officials Association
- Pass a rules test and a 2-man mechanics test by Friday, October 21
- Pay local dues of $35 by Saturday, November 19
- Buy a uniform for about $200
Your total investment should pay for itself after 2 or 3 nights of officiating basketball games.
