I know you’ve been getting quite a few emails from me lately. That’s just an indicator that the season is ramping up! So here’s a few more things I need you to know…
1. Earlier I asked that the official who is listed first on their game assignments to contact their partners for scrimmages. I’ve had a few let me know that some phone numbers aren’t listed. I need everyone to go into their profile and make their phone number public. This only makes it public to the officials who are in arbiter, but it is necessary so that you are able to contact your co-officials. To do this…
– Log in to Arbiter and Switch Views to “Abilene Basketball (THSBOA) – Official”
– Click the Profile setting at the top of the page
– Scroll down to your phone number and there is a checkbox to the right of it that says “Public.”
– Check that box!

2. Any questions regarding your schedule (i.e. – “I don’t have a game yet,” “I can’t be at my game,” “Am I going to get a game,” etc) need to be directed at Dan. If you ask me then I will send you to him anyway. His number is (325) 518-9987 and his email is abileneref@gmail.com. Again…that’s any question or concern that you may have regarding your schedule.
3. For those who have asked about Black Shirts…you have to have a black undershirt for your official uniform anyway. It can be a black shirt that you’ve received in the past with our camp logo or chapter logo on it or, if you don’t have one of those, you can get a simple black shirt at Wal-Mart, Academy or even Hobby Lobby. Our uniform for scrimmages are black shirts, black short, black socks, black shoes. If you are brand new and have any questions about our typical, in-season uniform then go to https://abilenebasketballrefs.com/officials-uniform/. It shows you the minimum requirements as well as recommended if you anticipate doing varsity basketball games.
